Dangerous Burst of FULL THOTLE

Hi, I have a very nice and reliable 2004 Renault 1.6 Privilege petrol auto with 29,000 on the clock.

Following recent cam-belt change at local Renault the throttle has taken to maxing out at full throttle about four times in the last four weeks, luckily so far held it back with manual gears and braking very hard tell safe to stop and turn engine off.

On re start she's back to normal?

Being on the mature side of 65, tried stamping on the accelerator to free a snagged throttle cable like the good old days, only to be told my Renault is all electric NO CABLE to stick.

What seems to happen is while driving normally when conditions would indicate slowing down or if I try to brake the throttle sticks and revs it's head off, no warning lights no other indication of a fault.

Local Renault plugged it in but no faults recorded. They are stomped and only suggest I leave the car with them to drive around now and again to see if it happens again?

Loads of time loads of money just to see if Iam telling the truth, but no help with ideas whatsoever.

Ideas on what to change/replace in a list of suggested faults to eliminate one at a time would be great help.
