I've recently purchased my first car (1.2 mk3 clio extreme 06 plate) and I've installed an aux cable into the 'update list' head unit. When I use the aux to play music from my phone it's all distorted unless I plug it in to charge using the cigarette lighter then it plays fine.
It could be to do with the new cigarette lighter that I installed due to the other one being rusty but I don't know what causes it. It's not my phone because it does the same thing with my ipad. It stops making the distortion once I plug it in using the car charger.
If anyone has any suggestions for this problem I'm all ears as it's really annoying me.
