Espace the race

Hi I have a espace "the race" 2002 2.2dci which has engine fault. I know it's not obdII but i brought a elm327 ? connector to read the diagonsis, but dosen't work. Can any tell me what and where i can get the right reader for this car, Thanks :confused:
