Gaskets Rocker Cover

Can someone tell me if there is a rocker cover gasket that is used on the Modus 1.4. I cannot find one anywhere, and am told that I must use gasket sealant.
My q is this.
If no gasket is used, then why not, or can I make my own gasket from gasket paper.
