Hello.

Hello everyone. I have just bought(2 weeks ago) a Renault Thalia 1.2 16v 2006, in Poland. I don't think they sold it in the U.K. It is a Clio 2 with a very big boot (like a Tardis the boot looks small on the outside but is very big, for the size of the car, on the inside). The engine and suspension is Clio 2 and a few other bits, I suppose. I have already fixed the airbag connects as it was showing a fault and the bonnet catch let loose 5 years ago, before I owned it. It is ex lease so the Renault dealer had the full service history of the car. It had done 234070 Km when I bought it. My first impressions of this car are: it is very fidgety on rough roads, you have to turn the steering wheel more than on an Escort to do a 90 degree turn, the turning circle is a bit bigger than on my old escort 1.6 estate, it has more torque than I thought it would have and it is a lot quicker than I thought (revving it through the gears even makes me smile when I think it's only a 1149?cc engine:d). It has had a ton of new parts fitted before I bought it, but there's always something that will break/go wrong, which is why I join this forum. I really hope I do not need any help, but after reading some of the threads on here, I'm sure I will :(
It has already show a code for: catalytic converter fault, twice, but I'm sure that's just a bad connection to one of the exhaust sensors as surely it wouldn't freely rev to 6.5 k RPM it there was a cat fault. I'll post in the right area if this develops into an annoying problem. :(
Oh yes, I bought it because I do 95% of my driving in a city with too many cars.
