Kangoo van 1.9 problem

Hi there im new to this and needing some help on about my kangoo van..Basically took the fuel pump of as thats what i reckoned was the fault with the van...but it wasnt... but what ive stupidly done was before i put the pulley back on it spun the shaft a a few times and think ive put the timing out on the pump and now it will start eventually but will cut out when i take the foot of the throttle(absolute nightmare guys)....the crank and cam timing are spot on so must be the injection pump.. it has a delphi pump on it...part number 7700115073... please can some1 tell me how to time the pump the correct way ? is there a hole on the pump i can lock it in??....kind regards liam
