Advice please from the Expert and the Knowledgeable.
Laguna Diesel 1.9 DCI
O3 Registration. Approximately 92000 miles.
Two problems that - as you will read - are definitely related.
1. Acceleration is extremely sluggish to the extent that there is hardly any acceleration at all.
(I had a similar problem about four years ago, but no way as severe as now, which was then diagnosed as an EGR fault. The EGR valve was cleaned in a Renault workshop).
2. The Pre/Post Heat light illuminates anything from 5 to 15 minutes after starting to drive.
The Pre/Post Heat light illuminating started a few days after experiencing the abysmal acceleration problem.
They are somehow directly related, as instantly the light illuminates the car accelerates (it feels like a F1 car!!).
The car then drives"normally" for the rest of the journey - normal acceleration with light shining. Then, when I start a new journey the car goes through the same procedure.
