Megane Climate Control etc.

Does anyone know if the Automatic climate control and air con are dependant on the head unit at all?

Ie, if I remove the OEM radio and fit an aftermarket one, am I likely to run into problems with the automatic climate control not working?

My logic is that if the OEM radio display no longer displays the outside temperature, then what will the automatic climate control work from?
