Leaving the mini cool box plugged in overnight was not a good move! Keys into the ignition, turned on to light dash & "Brake Fault" was displayed & no juice to even try to turn her over. Ordinarily I would have jumped it or made use of the expensive breakdown cover we never use - but yesterday was different as it was my son's first day at Jaguar & I had to get him there by 7:30!
Not to worry I thought. I'm parked on a steep hill & I turned the ignition on, stuck her in reverse, released the handbrake and rolled back until I had enough speed to drop the clutch. A bit of reverse kangarooing and some deft throttle control and the engine fired so off we went.
At first the brake warning light in Amber, the service light in Amber, the engine light in Amber and the STOP light in red remained on. The engine was down on power but I figured once I got a bit of charge into the battery I could turn off then it would all be ok on the restart - but alas it wasn't & still isn't! The brake light has gone away but the others remain on although I get intermittent power occasionally.
Any thoughts?
