52 Laguna 2: Battery Light on Remote Insertion

Good evening,

I would like some advice please... Whenever I put the remote into the ignition, the electrics come on as normal but so does the battery light. I wasn't sure whether I should be alarmed by this. I should add, it comes on when the key is inserted but when the engine is on the light disappears after a few seconds.

I have fully charged the battery while it was in the vehicle (I can't remove the battery as the negative cable obstructs getting tools to the bolt and the bolt is also rounded off almost completely) yet it still had the light come on. The car starts fine, runs fine and sounds totally fine. It passed it's MOT on the 2nd from two different MOT centers with no advisories.

Should I be alarmed by this issue? I'm not sure but I think it may need a new battery, a friend of mine with two Renaults also wasn't sure. I'll be honest, I'm a real rookie with engines so any help, in the dumbest form is much appreciated. I don't quite speak the lingo fluently, especially with electrical problems.

Thank you very much in advance! :)

EDIT: Also, please may someone refer me to a reliable website/contact who can make me a duplicate remote? My current one is falling apart and I need to push the battery in to use the locks remotely... Thank you again!
