engine stalls when hot...wont restart till cooled.

hi all. im new to the forum but have been following for a couple of months.. my problem is my grand scenic ii 2005 vvt 1.6 petrol starts fine..drives fine untill it gets hot about 20-30 mins then it will stall wether driving or stationary but then it wont restart untill it has cooled. it will turn over but not fire. not getting any fault codes on my reader...(not clip)....:crazy: once cooled will do same again when hot. pulled my coolant temp sensor (the one in the thermostat) and sure enough it looks old and the metal sensor part will spin on the connector and had corrosion above the oring. now i am going to change this part but is there anything else i should be looking at? or has anyone else had the same issue with there grand scenic ii. or should i say money pit. hope someone can help. many thanks. :d
