I'm sure most of you Guys are aware, on it's day of release through Window 7 I'd installed & run Windows 10
I wasn't too keen & a few days later I reverted back to Win7
Today, on a totally blank hard drive I decided to do a 100% clean install of 10.
During the procedure the setup on a number of occasions asked me for the serial number, which I declined to give.
After installation + a number of updates I was convinced I'd be asked for the serial number again.
Was I?? No!!!
After faffing around for about 10 I found the activation screen & was extremely surprised to find Windows 10 had already been activated :eek:
My question is.
On a virgin blank hard drive with no serial numbers inputted. HTF did MS know I am a genuine user with a Win 7 license HTF did they know that?
More to the point. What else do they know???
