A pal of mine has stupidly asked me a question about his car. For some reason he thinks I should know the answer!!
His Megane estate seems to have a rubber tube, he says, dangling behind the engine up against the bulkhead. When I say dangling it's actually dangling upwards and not connected to anything.
Not knowing what it is I suggested looking above it for anything it should be connected to and low and behold he says there's a hole in the scuttle drain it seems to fit into perfectly.
The tube is soft but rock hard at the top. This being so I suggested it may be blocked with crap from said scuttle drain.
Am I right and can therefore claim total Renault knowledge or is it sonething else. He says he can't see where it goes to as the under carriage protector thingy is on the car and he can't take that off as there's nowhere to put the stands when it's jacked up with his Renault jack.
Sorry he's not much help but I am trying to assist, from the sea, watching Top Gear whilst having a fag!
