Hi Gents,
Im having a nighmare with my Espace.
The battery was dead and had been for a while. I went through the process of livening up the starter motor and got the car open.I put a new battery in and the car cranks over fine.
no air in the pipes round the bulb and firming up after three pumps. Cracked the injecters and fuel getting through. Found the glow plugs to be completely knackered and replaced.
Called the AA who put their scanner on but they were unable to connect to the ecu. He then tried for power at various sensors 12v and 5v signals and nothing. He basically said that was all he could do and suggested an Immobilizer fault.
The led in the dashboard stays on.
Ive found two procedures on the forum which I will try tomorrow. One being the locking sequence and another which looks to reset the ecu via the accelerator.If this does not work Im assuming the UCH unit is gubbed. If so where do I find it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
