Renault Scenic 2015 radio cuts out

I have a new Renault Scenic 2015 (diesel auto) which replaced a similar 2010 car. After a few weeks use, the radio started cutting out during journeys, going totally silent for a while. The display showed 'program' and 'search'. Switching on and off had no effect, and the display of the FM station I was listening to did not change despite pressing other station pre-sets. The radio was set to RDS and traffic announcements. The problem occured in places where I never had any problems with my previous car, and which I would not expect to be problem areas for reception.

The radio will cut back in after many minutes. It will be kicked back into life when there is a traffic announcement interruption (which is audible), following which my station returns as normal.

I took the car to my local dealer who checked it under guarantee. They checked the aerial, as they had had an advisory from Renault saying that some cars had been fitted with the wrong aerials at the factory - DAB-types on non-DAB cars. Mine was found to be the wrong type, and they replaced it. The radio then worked fine for several weeks and some big mileages - until in the last few days the same problems have recurred.

Once again it has been booked to go to the dealer, but they seem to be as mystified as me, and, being an intermittent problem, it is unlikely to manifest itself while in the garage.

Anyone out there who has experienced this - and (more importantly) found a diagnosis and a cure?
