I have an intermittent problem with the Clio at startup. Usually the engine starts without problem, but occasionally cranks without starting. Called AA out once and they started with 'easy start' sprayed into the air intake. The fuel pump runs when the ignition is turned on. I've replaced the fuel and air filters but still randomly fails to start although sometimes it's OK for months at a time. Also had the quick fit fuel connector disconnect on 2 occasions (months apart) while idling at junctions dumping petrol onto the road. So I'm wandering if there's a fuel pressure regulation problem. Any suggestions/ideas? Nearest Renault dealer is 4 hours drive away, so I don't want to take it there with an intermittent fault that probably won't show up.
