Hopefully this will help anyone who is considering installing a Dash Cam.
This guy has hard wired his directly into the cars fuse box which is cool by me, however I'm considering fitting an out of sight additional 12v power outlet, which should make life easier in the event that a car change takes place.
PLEASE NOTE!! like SAT NAVs dash cams have a 12 volt input which is dropped in the case of a NextBase 402G to 5v thus you have two choices.
1 You must use the supplied cigarette lighter plugged power supply voltage dropper
2 Buy a puka hard wiring kit suitable for your dash cam.
==============================
Because of the crap weather ATM I've only had a quick look in the car, however it looks easy enough (I thunk) to tuck the wiring in behind the head lining. :d
The Guy in the Vid ranted the plastic cover off his A pillar. I'm somewhat reluctant to approach this A pillar in the same manner, there's air bags behind mine :eek:
For some reason, I get a bit unsettled at the unexpected happening ham fisted bu55er that I am, so after sufficient procrastination has taken place, I might have a go at pushing the wire between the head lining & the top joint of the A pillar, & run the wire between the A pillar cover and inner side of doors weather seal.
Well that's the plan so far, all I need now is an improved weather system to appear + enough time to elapse for the new Cam to mature enough for me to work on. :d
