Ok, by laptop & diag cable is about to be torched.
I seriously can't believe how difficult this has proven to be.
Problem - when I run DDt2000, nothing shows within the app...i.e. I click scan - zilch, I clicjk VIN ....zilch.
I have version 2.3.0.0 and the KKL cable also shows as CH340 for me (this is the cable http://ift.tt/1LrcUfx ). I have it configured for com3. I used the drivers that came with the KKL cable. (I'm pretty sure that the cable is working becuase when I load the VAG software that came on the CD with the cable & get it to test com3 for the presence of the cable it passes.)
When I start DDT2000, I go into the diag port page....COM3 is showing blah blah.
here's a link to the user interface as seen on my laptop with the cable connected to my Renault Grand Scenic...

....that stuff in the bottom left corner 'NO CAN' ......it doesn't give me a warm cosy feeling - is that right?
So how on earth can I get my car to respond to DDT2000? Any top tips/ideas? There doesn't seem to be a test cable/port within the DDT2000 software itself.... could this be a com port setting issue? (baud rate, flow control?)
(the worst part is I had it working once....about two months ago.....cleared down a parking brakeerror, which sort of proves the cable is fine - but from recollection that was using DDT2000 lite)
