We are Steve and Lindsey from Chelmsford Essex, Needed to get Lindsey a car as she does not like driving mine (ford focus estate), We did only had £500, We spent 2 days searching the net and not finding anything she liked, She did have am Astra in mind as we have had them n the past, even the GTE Convertible, Remembering all the fun we had with no roof decided to look at Convertible, This is how we came across the Magane Cabriolet that was in our price range, Phoned loads of adds and every thing was sold, was about to give up looking for the day, Had one quick look at Ebay but widened the area search and spotted one, contacted the owner and offered him £500, He said yes, So off to Peterborough, The car looked great in dark blue, The roof worked as it should, no scratched on paint, Drove the car and the only fault was a jumpy gear stick, and knowing it will be the engine mount we gave the guy the cash and my wife jumped in put the roof down and drove home with a massive smile on her face while i tried to keep up with her. That was 4 days ago, now the engine mount is fixed (in 5 min ). All we need now are woolly hat, gloves scarf and warm coat as winter is on way and why buy a Cabriolet and drive around with the roof up.
