Infamous Scenic boot lock error

Ive got a 2004 scenic II. I tried opening it yesterday and all unlocked, apart from the boot. I managed to open the boot via the catch from inside the boot and had the wiring checked at the boot solenoid.....no power is getting to the locking mechanism?? Ive checked the wiring (and behind the rubber tube from the boot lid to the car), and cant find any breaks in the cable. Ive also just tried a second boot locking mechanism, and its still not working.

Ive done ALOT of searching and found a thread from a guy with the exact same problem. He managed to fix the problem by taking a live feed from elsewhere in the car, directly to the boot lock.

The boot lock has 4 white wires entering it......does anyone know where these 4 wires go
