I've managed to find myself a cheap 2006 Laguna petrol, and its a tidy old girl with only 41k miles
However.....
It's got a properly rough idle, although the car isn't shaking itself to bits it feels like its missing on one or more cylinders. Normally I'd put it down to a couple of failed pencil coils, but oddly the car isn't reporting any faults. Also its using the more recent Beru coils which I thought were more reliable.
I could also swear its not as smooth as it should be in normal driving and doesn't pick up like I'd expect it to.
So, could it still be the coils - are the Beru ones as reliable as I think they should be?
Are there any other common faults with this engine which can lead to a rough idle?
My code reader is only a cheapy, so its possible its not reporting any pending codes.
