Laguna II Sports Tourer, non working heater & Tailgate switch help needed!!

Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2003 '53' reg Laguna II Sports Tourer.

Unfortunatley there are a few things that don't work!! anyway the main three that have got me baffled are..

* 1. that the heater only works on full speed (No.4) guessing a resistor or something like that?

* 2. I can't get the boot to open? I'm sure this has been asked a million times before!!
Tried cleaning all the connections, and even buying a new switch from Renault but no joy :( Is there anything else I should be looking at, the tailgate glass does open so at least I can get to the latch to open it with my trusty flat blade screw driver!!

* 3. The door illumination lights only work on the drivers door? tried changing the bulb on the others but nothing.

If anyone has any idea's that would be great, it'd be nice to get some of this sorted :)
