I see this has been asked a million times but thought to ask. I got the above warning light. I drove to halfords and they tested the batery and said it's fine. The alternator according to my obd reader says it's pumping out 11.4 volts. I was told this is too low.
So I drove home thinking tomorrow I should get this checked out. But low and behold the car fixed itself and is now pumping out 13.2 volts and the warning is gone. Do you guys think it's worth changing it anyway or can I wait another 5000 miles till my next service when the cam belt will be changed anyway?
