Honestly, I did search and read (probably) all entries related to LHD, but could not find an answer, therefore my current post.
So, I own a Megane III hatchback 2012, 1.5 dCI, 90hp, bought new from Slovakia, as I lived there for several years.
Currently I moved to UK, and I was thinking to register the car. For that it seems that I will have to make several different changes on the car, but before doing any, I have a couple of questions for which I will kindly ask your help in answering them.
So VCA says:
1. That the headlamps are UK specification (headlight beam dips to the left).
1.c) Original factory fitted headlights that are, through a standard feature of the vehicle, adjustable so that the
beam can be changed from right dipping to left dipping
1.d) Original factory fitted flat-beam headlights (we can not accept a right dipping beam that is adjusted to
flat-beam unless that is a standard feature of the vehicle, e.g. done via operation of a lever)
Question_1: how can I determine myself, if the headlights are as mentioned in 1c or 1d or none?
Question_2: if Q1 = none, then can you recommend any site [apart from ebay or renault dealer ] from where I can buy new ones?
Question_3: is the entire headlight unit to be changed or only part of it?
2. VCA also requires that the speedometer to show both kmh and mph. For this, I found a site/producer that creates / prints some overlays [if you have any other please do reply :) ].
Question: will it be possible to upgrade the speedometer from the current, analog one to the electronic version? will it make any sense?
