Renault Scenic II 1,6 Check Emission – Camshaft fault code

Hi!


I have buyed my first Renault, after some weeks of driving a eninge lamp/service lamp starded. The dashboard says ”CHECK EMISSION”


So i went to a friend that have a fault code reader and the fault codes that the computer showed was:

1. 0340 – CAMSHAFT SENSOR CIRCUIT; PHASER MESUREMENT OUTSIDE OF RANGE
2. 0010 – CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR; PREFORMANCE PROBLEM

So the first thing i did was to order a camshaft sensor from Ebay. I changed it, earse the fault codes and took the car for a testrun. After 5 minutes the engine lamp came again – and also the same fault code...


I have done som reasearch and i think it is the Dephaser... Becouse when the car is cold and i start it a rattle sound is coming from the engine... And the second start nothing..


SO, if it is the Dephaser, can i only change that? Becouse the belt and waterpump and things like that was changed for like 150 miles ago..


And could it be the Dephaser?..
