I have a problem with my 2001 1.9dCi Scenic.
Engine turns over fine, but will not fire.
Dash engine check light is not illuminating (IIRC it used to at key position 2) and as far as I can tell the fuel pump isn't running.
Was recovered by the AA who did some basic checks, their OBD tools wouldn't read the vehicle and they said that expected voltages on the sensors were missing, suggesting an ECU problem.
Checked all fuses and a visual check of the wiring harness for chaffing, can't get the ECU out to start checking voltages there as I don't have any security Torx bits in my kit.
Are there any obvious things to check, or has the ECU died?
If it's a new ECU, are they all the same for the 1.9 dCi (i.e. can I just get one out of a scrapper), or are they set up specifically for the vehicle?
