Hi all!
I have an issue.
First of all i own a 07 Clio expression much like the one in this picture http://ift.tt/1ELE0MG
my indicators have been working fine since i bought the car 6 months ago.
I was pulling into a parking space which was slightly uphill so was coming into the space quickly in second gear and unfortunately I wasn't paying enough attention to how close i was to the wall in front of me. I was planning on swinging into the space and letting my car roll up and then come to a stop where i could catch it on the bite and pull forward a bit more to get in properly. however i misjudged it completely and ended up hitting the wall instead. not too hard though.. no airbags or damage done. There is a couple of tiny stone marks on the front bumper which seems like the paint off the wall is on my car. there is no other damage. I have inspected for cracks or movement..nothing.
However about 5 minutes later when driving i noticed my left indicator flickering like one of the bulbs had died. I jumped out and put my hazards on to see. I thought this cant be a coincidence that ive just bumped a wall and now my front left indicator isnt working. I thought i may have broken the bulb. but after tapping on the whole headlight case the indicator came on again. then i tapped it again and it went off. i popped the bonnet and switched the bulbs L and R and same fault was present. knocking the lighting case (which doesnt seem particularly loose) seemed to fix the issue, but also stop the indicator from working.
Now it wont come back on no matter how much i knock the headlight. Does anyone have an idea of whats happening? and why a little bump would cause this sort of problem? I really dont want to have to take it to a garage for this sort of thing.
