Hey guys,
Been having a few issues with my Clio for a while now. It started that the lights would flash very rapidly whilst on and they'd be a clicking sound from behind the dashboard. This did eventually go away, however it seems the problem is back but doing something entirely different.
The front windscreen wipers wont park for a few minutes unless I keep turning the ignition on and off, and all the time the immobiliser light is flashing fast and won't allow me to crank the engine.
I know that the lights, wipers etc is a sign of the UCH being an all round bell end, but would this prevent the engine from starting too? I noticed there are two fuses for the UCH a big one and a small one, I took the big 10 amp one out and the immobiliser light started flashing slowly but still wouldn't let the engine turn over.
I know the earlier models had a bypass that could be used, I've tried holding the central locking button down on mine and using the code from the RenaultImmob program on my laptop to no avail 9I can't get the light to flash slowly)
I can manage with the lights flashing etc until I can get a replacement UCH, ECU and key. But is there any way to bypass the immobiliser?
Thanks
