Renault Clio 3 - 2011 - Poor Heater Performance

Hello everyone. Just signed up to the forums after searching various threads, and not being able to seem to locate anything matching my issue specifically.

I own a 2011 Renault Clio 1.5 DCi Dynamic TomTom edition, owner for a few months now.

Now on to the issue. How its starting to get colder in the evenings, i have need to start using the heater, and have noticed its rather poor performance.

From a completely cold start, say in the morning, I have noticed cranking the heating on to full that the vents only seem to be giving out very mild temp air, hardly enough to event register when holding your hand over.

this evening, being particularly cold, i came out to find the inside of my car alittle fogged on the inside.. In my many years of driving, to "fix" this i usually whack the heater on, close the doors and give it 2 or 3 minutes. Usually by this time the car has managed to blow away the fog, and the car is starting to warm up in the cabin.

With my Clio, im finding this is taking 10 to 15 minutes, and that its taking upwards of 15-20 minutes driving before i start to think "its getting alittle toasty now, i'll turn the heating off/down".

Now, the header does appear to be working, if the car is left running or driven, but it takes a very long time.

Could it be that im just not used to Diesels, and this is a common thing, or could there be a genuine fault ?

Surely a car built in 2011 cant take 15-20 before an acceptable temp is given into the cab ?

Thanks in advance, hopefully someone will be able to provide some assistance before I manage to freeze in the soon to be approaching colder mornings.
