06 Master dci120 Erractic starting problem

Hi,

My Master has been very reliable for the last 2.5 years & 50k kms. It was about 10 months ago that I first experienced the starting problem that I mention here.

It will start first go 99% of the time but just on aoccasion it will not even turn the starter, with plenty of battery and all normal dash lights on.

I had found, what I thought was a fix, that I would take the battery termainal off for like 10 mins then put it back on & it would then start immediately.

Other times when you turn the key there would be up to a 10 second delay before the starter would function but once it did it started immediately.

Then yesterday it did it to me again!

So I took the battery terminal off for about 20 mins then reconnected it but still no start! Not even turning the starter over. Relocked & ulocked the doors in case the immobiliser was playing up but to no avail. Ended up having to get it trucked to my Auto Elec & its still there now because he's flat out & hasn't got to it yet.

Any ideas on what this problem is?
