My '02 clio 1.4 isn't idling smoothly. It varies from 750 - 850rpm. Never seems to stay steady. I can feel light shudders as the revs change during idle making it rather annoying. Exhaust also suffers a bit of after-splutter when revving.
The other problem is while cruising at 50 - 55mph the car jerks a bit and feels like it's missing. Only happens under light throttle while cruising at those speeds. Apply more throttle and it goes away. Wondering if the two issues are related?
I have tried:
*cleaning throttle body
*checking for vacuum leaks
*oil filter and oil change
*new spark plugs
*new air filter
*scanned for codes - no errors
*petrol cleaning additive
Any ideas? I just want this car to work!
