im hoping someone can help!
i pressed on the clutch pedal to change gear the other day and it just suddenly popped. the pedal dropped to the floor all loose and i was stranded. got towed back to my house by the aa. whilst waiting for the aa i felt under the pedal to see what it might be, and it was soaked. i then looked down under and noticed a thin brass coloured pipe running out from behind the centre console that went up into the clutch pedal assembly had popped out, emptying the hydraulic fluid over the carpet. it had a rubber seal on the end and was supposed to be secured with a metal clip. but the clip was open. i'm not sure wether the clutch has gone and the pressure may have pushed the clip back, as it does seem a loose fit. has anyone experienced this problem?
what is the best course of action that will not cost the earth, to determine and fix this?
