Renault Megane CC 2007 boot wont close, Hi all by the way I am Bill

Hi all my name is Bill and I am hoping you guys can get me into my wifes good books, I apologize if I am in the wrong place with this thread:confused:. I cant close or lock the boot on my wifes Renault Megane CC 2007, I have manually locked it for the night, which means its locked but not shut as so I could lock the doors:crazy:, anyone any suggestions on a fix for this problem, locking mechanism clicking away by key fob and black button, but when the boot is closed its like the mechanism closes the n opens again:confused::confused::confused: any help would be great
