"Buzzing" coming from my engine bay

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a Renault Megane MKII, and so far I am sad to say, despite being a joy to drive, and very pleasing on the eye, I have had a few issues.

To begin with, a red "STOP" was the normal greeting when accelerating or braking, I thought perhaps the brake fluid as this had been highlighted in forums, but alas, two days later, the "STOP" light had a friend - "ignition fault" at first it would flash, until it finally prevented the engine form starting, an AA visit later and it was deemed as cam sensors (or something to that effect) and a minute possibility of a fuel pump issue.

Having purchased from a dealer, I have obviously called them back to report this, and they have been rather helpful so far - even offering a return should it be more serious than the sensor. Which, to be honest, is a shame - as it is a great car to drive and is very economical...

Now this brings me to the latest in a line of problems - an electrical buzzing which slowly stopped after pulling up and locking the car - it was coming from the highlighted component (see photo), and now I am worried this could be the end for the Megane, what is this component and is the noise normal, or at least cheap and easy to fix??

Any help would be greatly appreciated - even if it is a part description!

Many thanks,

Chris.
