I recently changed the cam belt on my 2000 clio, now having trouble starting. It will start sometimes and then another time it just turns over. Took it to my local garage to see if anything registered on the there computer fault coded but all was clear. It will also run lumpy on tick over, not every time but more often than not. When it is running it goes well with lots of power. Have checked for air leaks. The only thing different is that the air intake hose from the front to the black box, got damaged during strip down, and as this is an expensive part from Renault only not been replaced???? Really could do with some good advice, or do I just take it to the dealer, do not want to spend a fortune as it is 15 years old HELP!
