I have a Renault Espace IV, 2004, that's got problems with the automatic gearbox.
After driving a while it goes into emergency mode. I have identified a 30A fuse that goes off very quickly, it seems related to the gearbox.
Renault dealer have looked at it and tells me to replace the automatic gearbox for a price well over the second hand price of a working car.
I looked at internet for similar problems and found a post on tyresmoke.net:

My question is where is the cable holding the sensor for the automatic gearbox situated, as one potential fault could be that this cable was corroded. In that case I could get any garage to have a look at it if I only knew where to look.
