My recent purchase of 2004 2.0 megane vvt dynamique was fine for the first 3 weeks then all of a sudden while i was driving, check gearbox light appeared on display and at the bottom 'service' light also appeared, the gearbox got sluggish.
I parked the car switched off then on again. All was ok after that until the same ligts come up after 2 weeks.
Not sure what the problem is as the local mechanic stuck diagnostics and said it's not showing up any faults as the lights dont stay on the dashboard. He said oil level is ok. Now the car revs slightly higher in 2nd and 3rd gear up to 3000 revs before changing gear.
I don't even want to take it to renault dealers as they will empty my already slim wallet.
