Guys, i need some advice if i may.
I have a 2005 MkIV Espace which has just gone straight through it's MOT however i have an annoying suspension knock/rattle whatever you may like to call it. It feels very "spongy" on the suspension and if i go over any minor rut you hear the noise from both the front and back.
Where i live i'm plagued with speed bumps and when i go over these the noise is really noticeable and the nose of the car really dips.
I had this checked out prior to the MOT and the mechanic said nothing is wrong or broken it's a noise that you will have to put up with until you can't put up with it any more.It's got to the point it's really starting to bug me now and i'd like to get it put right before winter but i'm not sure where to start.
Is it likely to just be the strut and mounts that are at fault and if so how difficult is it as a diy job? I've done struts before on other cars but not on this beast. If it were the struts i would imagine it wouldn't have passed the MOT.
