Hi all.
My wife and I live in central london and we drive a Modus. I bought it new in 2006 for the wife to drive but she only goes to the supermarket and back...so it's only done 13,000 miles from new. for the last 5 years it's been jumping out of gear [Automatic] with the "check Gearbox" sign popping up on the dash.
we have learnt to just stop, put it into park turn off the engine and restart it again, and the problem goes away.
Problem is, it's starting to do it 2 or 3 times when its cold then its fine for the rest of the day. Can anyone point me to any threads on here that can give me any idea as to what to do, as I've heard that this is quite a common fault with these cars.
