Hazards go off on there own!,

I have a W reg Clio ll which has had a secondary immobiliser fitted. That immobiliser has no been disconnected from the relay so that immobiliser should never really work. I now only have the factory fitted immobiliser which is on my dash that flashes. The problem is, is that my hazards come on whenever they want either when I'm driving or when the car is stationary! They go on for about 20 seconds at a time then they just go off with no real pattern to when this happens. May not happen for weeks but then could happen a few times in a week like I say no real pattern.
The reason I think that secondary alarm & the problem with my hazards are connected is that when I click my central locking they go off the Hazard lights that is. It's as if I have a silent alarm going off!!!

Anybody come across this?

Any help would be brill?!
