I have had for a while now a problem with my idle. I have done various things and have also acquired an ELM327 OBDII and this has detected a misfire on Cylinder 2. I changed all 4 plugs and coils hoping this would cure the issue, but it continues. Tonight, I had my head under the bonnet and got my son to rev the engine and I could hear a spit of air which seemed to come from the back of the engine.
The spit was literally that, a spit. Assuming that there is a leak and I require a gasket on the manifold, is this a ball of a job and would this account for the rough idle. Not so much of a rough idle, I start the car up and the revs die to almost nothing before it picks itself up.
