2.2 dCi intercooler help

Hi all figured its about time I joined :-) have found this forum to be a god send in the 11 months I have owned my Laguna. It has had most of the problems listed on here. Front passenger footwell filling up with water, not starting due to EGR sticking I think and the climate control not lighting up which, after reading a thread on here that pointed to the r101 resistor on the board, my brother was able to fix with a soldering iron top job. Now it appears we are on to phase 2 of fun with Intercooler problems with a whooshing noise when excelerating not a turbo noise that's there as well. Also worried after reading other posts about turbo's letting go well mines on 93k miles and I don't know the turbo's history. But anyhoo I digress is there any way I can tell which intercooler is fitted to my laguna without taking the front end off. I hope to be able to give the right part to my mechanic friend if he's got to take most of the front off :-). Grateful for any assistance people can give.
