Hi All,
I bought an 05 Laguna Sport Tourer (Auto) a few weeks ago. Barely driven it more than 10 miles.
When I opened the door yesterday I was unable to start it, and the dash was showing a 'Parking Brake Fault' message. Cue the breakdown call and out came the man in a van quite quickly. He disconnects the battery, waits 20 minutes then re-connects the battery and charges it.
'Parking Brake Fault' has gone but a new one 'Card not recognized' has replaced it. He couldnt resolve it, the tow truck arrives but they couldnt release the handbrake (even using the manual override release).
Im now concerned that this is due to the original fault which he ignored, and that I now have two issues - 1. the parking brake fault and 2) the key/card reader has broken etc. I also dont have the radio code, and understand that disconnecting the battery means i'll need to re-enter
Have they made the issue worse?
