Hi Guys,
so after battling with my brothers megane, its throwing more spanners at me. The history.
He bought the car in January, light front end damage (bumper repaired, new bonnet and headlight).
We fixed and painted it, the airbag and service light was on, so I removed the clockspring and tested it for continuity and it seemed fine. At the same time we bought a new interior including pretensioners and front seatbelts.
He used the car for a day and the engine management light illuminated, showing oxygen sensor, so we cleaned it and removed the code. We had it plugged in (CAN CLIP?) for the airbag and it came up with several errors for the airbags and clockspring. They advised us to take it to renault but Im thinking with the mass of errors there must be some sort of crash data on the airbag module from the previous crash? There was no airbag damage and we only swapped the pre-tensioners because they where fitted to the new interior (none detonated)
any help appreciated, my next step is to get in touch with previous owner when the log book arrives, but apart from asking them if the light was on previous I can't do much.
