Hi guys...just picked up a 2000 Megane for <not much money>. It's mechanically sound - perfect in fact - but it's got two faults. The driver's window isn't cooperative in any way (this should be easy), but the main issue is the central locking.
It works to lock the car from the fob, the driver's side door and the switch on the dash, but none of those methods work to unlock it. Ordinarily I wouldn't be particularly bothered, but it does mean there's no way to open the boot as a result.
When using any method to unlock, none of the door locks make a sound, so it's not just a solenoid issue...and since it works to lock, I doubt it's a fuse (since it seems to be a single fuse for the central locking circuit and half of it works). I suspect a relay issue (with my meagre knowledge), but that's just a guess.
Anybody got any ideas? The wife's nagging me to death here...
