Alarm driving me bonkers!

Hi I have a Grand Scenic 7 sweater 2005 (I think) and within 30 seconds of locking car (keyless locking card) alarm goes off immediately. If I open and relock it does the same. I found a post on here that said press the on/off button 5 times and get out car and lock it and alarm will be disabled - and that worked (thanks!). However not ideal as I'd prefer car to be alarmed. Anyway, I am moving house and have recently been changing config of seats etc to get stuff in the car - could it just be I've maybe damaged a sensor or something? About 4 weeks ago the car started beeping 3 times when I unlocked it but there were no alarm problems do you think this could be related? I have NO spare cash at the mo so taking to garage is a non starter. Will I be damaging anything if I just keep doing the on/off 5 times trick?
