I have a 2004 megane 1.5 dci 80hp with 104k miles. It runs fine but wanted some extra umph so decided on a remap after reading lots about tuning boxes on here.
Once remapped, on wide open throttle I get "injection fault" on the dash. It does not lose power. When I let off the throttle it goes away and immediately comes back on when I plant it again. Im also getting loads of black smoke. It seems to me that there is plenty of fuel but not enough boost to get the mixture right?
The tuner tried two maps which both did exactly the same and brought up fault code DF772 pressure control: parameter at maximum stop.
As soon as we loaded the original map up everything is rosy.
I have noticed that sometimes the cars feels more perky than others but I just put it down to me.
The tuner said to replace the pressure sensor but after some reading im thinking it maybe that the sensor is at maximum stop due to another part of the injection system?
