Hi all i am the owner of a scenic 52 plate 1.6 car was running fine until visit to garage.
car was booked in to local ind garage for a new timing belt kit water pump and coolant all work finished picked car up and car is running like a bag of bolts no power,missing and the whole car shakes if you even think about touching the throttle.
Called mechanic over and at first thought maybe the timing belt was off ?? while looking car stopped missing and ran as sweet as before so he said it may have just been a sensor not quite plugged in properly so he gave them all a push and off i went.
On way to work car ran fine then 15mins into journey it started missing again so back to garage plugged scanner in and no faults/codes present.
Mechanic at the moment doesnt have a clue said timing cant be out as its and intermittent fault but without any fault codes he is stabbing in the dark so the question is could this be something he has done or is it just Coincidence and more to the point does anybody have any ideas as to what it could be need car in 2 weeks for holiday to france :crazy:
