Megane convertible rear window demister

Hi I am new to this Renault forum and I have also brought my first megane convertible which I love. It is an old year 2000 1.6 model what I would like to know is how the rear plastic window demister works,when I switch on it sound like there is an electric blower in the back ? any help would I would be grateful.
