Do I remove this from the rear wheel hub???

I'm changing the rear wheel bearings on a 2002 1.4 Renault clio. Do I remove the round silver thing on the top of the backside of the hub? Can't get to the bearing to knock it out otherwise but unsure if I should take this bit off/how???
